India M. Brown, MBA, PMP, is a dynamic entrepreneur, business strategist, and visionary leader, serving as the CEO and owner of PMPHASE, a premier project and change management consulting firm. With a career spanning over 30 years, India has built a powerful legacy helping organizations navigate complex initiatives through strategic project execution, change management, and IT software implementation. Her expertise spans a wide array of industries, including technology, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and government, making her a trusted partner in aligning business goals with operational outcomes. Known for her keen ability to lead through transformation, India specializes in risk assessment, optimization strategies, and stakeholder alignment, consistently delivering measurable results for her clients.
Beyond her entrepreneurial success, India is a passionate advocate for mentorship, personal growth, and social equity. She is a dedicated community leader and currently serves as Chair of the Executive Committee for the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation, helping expand mentorship networks for women professionals. She also leads as Chair of the S.E.A. Leaders Training Institute, shaping programs that prepare emerging leaders for impact. As the Immediate Past Chair of InnoPower Minority Business Week, India has helped elevate Black and minority business owners by advancing access to capital, innovation, and community collaboration.
She continues this mission as the Director of Entrepreneurship for the National Black MBA Association – Indianapolis Chapter, driving programs that support Black professionals through business education and development opportunities. India is also a proud member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), where she supports the advancement of women-led enterprises.
India’s passion for empowerment extends into her authorship. She is the writer of Let’s Check In On You!, a 31-day affirmation and self-assessment workbook created to help individuals explore emotional wellness, set intentions, and stay grounded in purpose. Her writing—like her work in the boardroom and in the community—reflects her unwavering commitment to helping others reach their full potential.
An influential and in-demand speaker, India regularly delivers keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops on topics including mentorship, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and the power of sponsorship. Her authentic voice and lived experience resonate with diverse audiences, inspiring meaningful action and change.
India’s thought leadership has also been featured in major publications. She was highlighted in the Indianapolis Business Journal, where she discussed why many minority-owned businesses hesitate to pursue business loans, and she authored a compelling article for the Indiana Minority Business Journal emphasizing the critical role of project management teams in business growth and sustainability.
Her impact and excellence have not gone unnoticed. India was honored with the 2023 Rising Stars Award for her outstanding achievements as a business owner and was nominated for a Mentorship Award in 2024—a testament to her enduring influence and commitment to lifting others as she rises.
India holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Leadership Development.
